I've been making frozen pads ( the biggest kind I can find - the incontinence kind) with either witch hazel or comfrey tea. Pour it from back to front and that really helps with the pain. it's waaaayyyy: at first, but it really, really helps. Also when you go poop, my midwife suggested to me, and it works, to take a warm wash cloth and apply pressure in your vulva/crotch area. It seems to counter act the strain of poop pushing.

Also witch hazel pads - get some cotton rounds soak them with witch hazel and place them on either the crotch sore or the booty sore area, and pull your underwear+pads up, leave them there til you hit the bathroom the next time, that will help also.

Also, the nurses at the hospital suggested to me to take a big fluffy towwel, and roll it up and put it in a donut shape to sit on. leaving your bottom sort of suspended in between to help relieve sitting pressure. I've not tried this yet as I need to seriously do towel laundry.

Isn't it funny (funny wierd, that is, not ha ha) that we push out these babies and then afterwards the smallest thing (pee, and poop), is soo difficult?

Also drinking comfrey tea really helps with the healing process.

I hope that helps some! Good luck momma!!

HI!

That warm washcloth really helped! I do feel silly that pushing out poop makes me whine but a baby.. no big deal! AHHAHA
