No-Poo Stink

Currently I'm doing a 2T BS plus one 12oz cup of water rinse. ACV before or after the BS leaves my hair way to greasy so I've given up on it altogether. I'm getting itchy flaking scalp that smells like sour laundry. I've got think hair that gets greasy easily so I'm hesitant to use Coconut oil to help the dandruff. Any ideas?

It sounds like you really need the vinegar rinse, or you could use some citric acid dissolved in cold water. Try white vinegar rather than the apple cider vinegar. I think it works better, and does not smell nearly as 'vinegary'. The citric acid works equally well. I actually like it better myself, as there is absolutely no fragrance. Like the vinegars it removes the baking soda and the dirt and oil from your hair better than water alone, and it leaves your hair more shiny and less tangly.

I know you have not liked vinegar thus far, but consider giving it (or the citric acid) another try. I use about 1/4 - 1/2 cup vinegar in a 40 ounce bottle of cold water, or about 1/2 - 1 teaspoon citric acid powder in the same amount of cold water. This works well, and the extra water helps disperse the vinegar or citric acid through your hair quite thoroughly.

Good luck with whatever you try! I hope you find a good solution soon!
