They are here!!! Gotta keep this quick...more soon (like in three years, right?).

Magdalena Cecelia, 6 lbs 1 oz, Friday morning, 10:17
Samuel Michael, 6 lbs, 3 oz, Friday morning, 10:42

Exactly 36 weeks, spontaneous labor.
Beautiful vaginal birth with LOTS of help from modern medicine.

Now...about this war zone in my pants. How come nobody makes a post about that?

Wonderful news! Oh, I'm so excited for you!

I think it's up to you to post about the "war zone" in your pants. Crikey! Expectant twin moms are nervously curious!

Congratulations on your new family.

Congrats!! Twins on leap day! Wow!

As for for your war zone, use that peri bottle every single time you pee. Take Ibuprofen as needed. It was way worse with my first (episiotomy), than with my twins, but it definitely gets better.

And those are awesome weights for 36 weeks!

Wow!!! I'm in tears reading your post!!!! That is soooo fabulous and I'm so happy for you and your new family It was fun to see their names, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the birth. I'm guessing from the "war zone" in your pants that a lot of icing will help. I really loved the ice packs for a long time Sorry, not much advice beyond that! And leap year babies-- how fun is that??? Congratulations again, we will miss your regular posting, but will look forward to hearing about your new life as a mama.

Congratulations!

Yup, my peri bottle was essential. I also took ibuprofin as needed, it not only helped with the pain from stiches but also pubic bone separation.

Get lots of rest and enjoy your babymoon!

Congratulations! What an amazing thing, eh? Twins AND on February 29th. Wonderful!

I got a chuckle out of the "war zone" in your pants. Felt exactly the same way with my #1 and have described it as such, but never heard anyone else characterize it that way.

Cheers!
