They are here!!! Gotta keep this quick...more soon (like in three years, right?).

Magdalena Cecelia, 6 lbs 1 oz, Friday morning, 10:17
Samuel Michael, 6 lbs, 3 oz, Friday morning, 10:42

Exactly 36 weeks, spontaneous labor. Beautiful vaginal birth with LOTS of help from modern medicine.

Now...about this war zone in my pants. How come nobody makes a post about that?

happy, happy, happy...t i r e d

Wow! Leap Year Twins - thats awesome!

War Zone in the pants *eventually* heals with good care - I relied on Dermoplast Spray for a long time and honestly don't know if it's all that natural or good for you. Def. don't skip out on the sitz baths - that makes a difference!

Wow! Congrats, double mamma!

Lydocaine helps in strategic war areas - i had a small tear in the urethra my last - had to use it to pee without fire. Also, try peeing in warm water basin - that helps.

Wow leap year twins! OMG that is sooooo cool! I'm looking forward to your birth story. I hope we don't have to wait too long.

Congratulations and congratulations!!!!

Welcome to your new little cuties. I can't wait to hear more about their birth and see some pictures.

For your perineum -- ice packs, sitz baths, and soak a couple of cotton squares (like cotton balls, only square) in witch hazel, and put them on top of your pad every time you put a new one on. It'll start feeling better in a few days -- just in time for your milk to come in and for your boobs to get sore. THe first week is kinda painful overall, but it does get a lot better soon!

How exciting!!! I'm not in your DDC but saw the thread title and just had to come and congratulate you!!!

Welcome babies!!!!

PS- the key to quick healing is keep the area dry.

I would use the water bottle after each pottying and then pat or blow dry and I was healed completely within 2 weeks

Yeah!! How great! Congrats to you, mom. And those healthy babies.

Congratulations x2!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy leap year birthday!
I have to agree with the pp's about the sitz baths and dermoplast. You also may love to sit on a doughnut cushion for a while. I know I did.
I was limping around for probably about a week or so.
Hope you heal quickly. Happy babymooning.
