Dyeing Mother ease OS's

I have 16 ME OS's that I would like to dye maybe in groups of 4. I am looking for a dye that will give a nice solid finish. I have used dylon (walmart) dye before and unless you are VERY diligent about stirring constantly the dye comes out uneven, which I hate! What is the best, leakproof dye that will stay bright and cover evenly? ME OS are 100% cotton...

TIA!!

Everyone seems to love those dyes! My next question would be how much would I need for 16 diapers or 4 sets of 4 diapers in different colors...

They have a starter kit that dyes 6 T-shirts, would that be enough? They also have a kit that dyes 20 T's. I like the kits because then I won't forget anything

If i buy everything seperately, how much fabric does the smallest container dye? I don't know how much a diaper weighs... Would one small container of dye do 4 diapers?

no advice, but i just want to say, what a great idea! i use exclusively motherease, and the only thing i don't like is that they are plain white (although, sometimes i love that about them ) i think i might just dye a few

Yeah, I think it will make it a little bit more fun! I've seen some that are nicely done on diaperswappers and they look great!

I've been doing a bit of research and all I've found is that one CPF is somewhat the same weight as a t-shirt. So if the ME OS's are pretty much the same amount of fabric as a CPF (of course size matters, though) then I'd probably want the starter kit for 20 t's... I don't mind if I have too much, just don't want to have too little

Keep in mind that the t-shirt kits are for tie-dye, which is a totally different process than solid-color dyeing. It uses the same kind of dye, but in different amounts and with different additives.

I would check the Dharma website, and see about using a washing-machine method for solid-color dyeing. The machine will do all the "stirring" for you so you get an even color.
