Going later with baby #2? - Page 2

Wow! It's slightly scary to see how many of you had your first babies before 40 weeks! I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and still mentally in the 'two weeks to go' zone, not to mention that I keep remembering the whole 'first-time pregnancies usually go 8 days over the EDD' line. I guess I should step up my organising a little, just in case!

I went early with DD (38w 3d), and am right now at 38w 2d, so we'll see I have been having contractions the last two evenings, and just this afternoon I lost a little mucus plug tinged with blood. Contractions have been really sporadic today, so I'm curious whether they'll pick up this evening or not. I've been trying to expect to go late this time, but it does seem like things are at least moving in the right direction, even if nothing is really happening yet.

Here's the thread I was referring to that discussed when the second babies arrived and it looks like the majority of second babies arrived later than the first!

I wonder if it's because we're so focused on DC#1 that it's sometimes hard to connect with DC#2, or if we feel more inhibited somehow. I know that I'm worried about waking up, up upsetting DD when the baby is born.

Strange thing is that in the same thread, it looks like DC#3 comes as early as the first in most cases!

I was induced with DS 3 days past my due date for low amniotic fluid, so I'm not sure when he would have come naturally. I'm prepared to go at least a week over with this LO.

All of you mamas that have given birth around 36-to 38 weeks....I'm so jealous!!! I was hoping that would happen to me. I'm currently 39 weeks and no signs of any action anytime soon.

My OB seems to think this one will come around 39 weeks, but you never know.

Well, my sister had her ds at 36 weeks. She is currently 39 weeks pg with #2........... and shocked to be sooooooo pg!

I had ds at 38 weeks 3 days. I am 36weeks 5 days right now so we shall see. Honestly, I wouldn't mind keeping this one in a little longer. I am trying to get as much one on one time with ds as possible.

I had ds at 37 weeks 5 days and never expected to go much longer with this pregnancy... Well I'm still pg at 39 weeks 2 days! Anxiously awaiting little ones' arrival... soon I hope!
