Which fabrics to use together?

Hi,

I finally received my velour and baby french terry, and I am excited to start on this road

My question is, do I need to put stretchy fabrics on the inner and outer. Can I mix a woven fabric on one side with a stretchy on the other? I thought of putting flannel on the outer and velour or terry on the inner, will this work. I have sewing experience, but not with making cloth diapers.

Thanks so much!

In general, it is best to keep knits with knits, and wovens with wovens, but it's not a hard-and-fast rule. Your best bet would be to make a single test diaper with the fabrics you are considering, to see if it will work for you.
