Go for it!! I did the same thing Saturday with little result (obviously) and though it would probably help to DTD again, I'm not sure I have the energy. Not to mention, it took some creative postioning!

I am actually to the point where I could be jealous about that! For the longest time I just didn't want anything to do with it. All of a sudden my hubby is looking fiiine again (he looks the same as he always does, but kwim?)

Enjoy.

Mine won't come near me. He's got this mental block now that he knows I'm a 0 station and starting to dilate. It doesn't help that he just started a new job and is exhausted every day.

Have fun!

My question is, is the husband REALLY necessary, or is DIY equally effective? Cause I'm ready to have this kiddo, but DH is another one of those who has a mental block against the idea because the baby's head is RIGHT THERE.

Your arousal makes oxytocin which promotes ctx, and semen is full of prostoglandin which ripens the cervix, so without him you're only getting 1/2 the benefits!

Orgasms release oxytocin too. My orgasms make me have contractions; not a lot of them, but I'm pretty sure my body just isn't quite ready yet. I have to DIY only because DH is deployed .

Well that went hmmm how do I find the rotflmao smilie? We laughed till I almost peed on him. It was hilarious...after 28 weeks of nothing to do it again. I was amazed that we both still worked. It did nothing for me by the way. Had a couple of contractions nothing else. Dh freaked out that he could feel his head and my stitch.
This little one is finally comfortable and going to stay put till the doctor gets it out...oh well just have extra time to clean right.

I'm having my membranes stripped tomorrow (hopefully! If I'm dilated enough) and I told dh to be prepared to report for duty.

I get such strong contractions after we dtd, I have intentions of using/abusing/taking advantage of my DH every night til i squeeze this darn kid out...lol. He's happy to be used and abused, though. Every time we do it, I get that, "if I could just get these contractions started...." feeling. *sigh* Who knows.

I've just been DIY for the last few weeks because it feels so crowded down there. The 'O' gives me a contraction that seems to last for about five minutes but after that... nothing. I'm due tomorrow so I think I'm going to go for desperate measures by the weekend. I'm going to do laps around the block with nipple clamps while gnawing on castor oil-injected jalapeno peppers. With each revolution I'll stop in and DIY before continuing. I'm just so uncomfortable. It's been months since my knees have made contact with one another. Every step I take is very painful and sleep is practically impossible. This, by far, is the most uncomfortable pregnancy I've had!

Just make sure to wash your hands really well after the pepper eating or else your DIY could turn out being a lot more than your bargained for.

OMG I love it, I'm gonna do this too!!!! Only instead of laps around the block, I think we'll head up to a castle in Heidelberg, and climb the castle. OR maybe I can climb the mountain to the Frankenstein castle - would climbing a mountain start labor?
