need good book recommendation for raising boys

I'm really struggling with my 3 yo ds. I don't know if it's his age, a stage or his boyness. We are butting heads daily. I didn't have such a struggle with my dd. I thought it might be helpful if I read something specifically about boys. He's also recently become a middle child..... I just want to help him and make sure I handle this time as gently as I can. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I found "Raising a Son" by Don and Jeanne Elium really helpful. It explains alot about the male mind and goes from birth to age 27!

This is not specifically about parenting but I found "Raising Cain:Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys" to be excellent. It really helped me understand my son more, which led to me parenting him better.

I second Raising Cain, but I like the more theoretical books better than the "how to" style.

I read this a little while ago - it's very easy to read, but pulls no punches when it comes to the important stuff.
