Do you plan a weekly/monthly budget WITH your s/o? - Page 2

My SO/DH and I do have a monthly meeting. We both WOH and currently DH does the checkbook/billpaying (although this has switched a few times during the course of our relationship).

It's not a big deal, but it does help me (the non-bill payer) know what's going one. It's also a dialog about the upcoming month which many or many not have much to do with money (DH's upcoming business travel, ds1 days off of school, plans for any vacations/fun weekend/trips to visit family.

We also have an annual meeting that we track our current net worth and talk about long term goals.

We always joke that if you can not fight about sex and money you should be able to make a go of a relationship. We rarely fight about either of these, but still find plenty to argue about . I guess we are the exception that proves the rule.

Aha, I did wonder if he was concerned only because DR said he should be. You know, like someone saying there's something wrong with you if... Or you're not true partners if... when really YOU and your partner have to make those decisions.
I'm glad you got it resolved.
