I want to brag

I made a lotion last night and it turned out soooo great! It was very thrown together I didn't plan this but we were out and DH's feet were dry. The recipe was:

.3oz veg emulsifying wax
.5oz cocoa butter
.75oz macadamia nut oil
1oz jojoba oil
.1oz castor oil
melted those together then stirred in:
3oz water
3oz aloe gel

It goes on a little oily but in a couple minutes soaks in completely due to the macademia oil's properties. It's nice and creamy and makes skin feel really soft. From that and the aloe it should be really good for healing burns too.

It looks lovely! I probably don't need to tell you this but, since it has water but no preservative, you should keep this in the refridgerator and use within a week or so to avoid growing bacteria, mold, yeast etc..

Check! It's in the fridge already, good tip though. Usually I add Vitamin E and a little borax and refridgerate anyway but I'm out of Vit E and it was a smallish batch anyway.

just wanted to add that vitamin e will only prolong the shlf life of the OIL..ie: slow down rancidity, it WILL NOT stop the growth of pathogens in your lotion.
