My son is 6 months and I noticed a drastic decrease in my milk supply about 3 weeks ago. I EBH at home, take More Milk Plus and my midwife put me on Reglan a week ago. I have noticed about an ounce increase since adding Reglan. I am only pumping about 5 oz when away from baby during work and I see him at lunch to feed him. I pump 4x a day, drink tons of water (about 80 oz/day), eat lots of protein and good foods. What else is there that I have not done? I know baby is still hungry, he wakes up more to eat during the night, and he gets frustrated at the breast because there is so little for him to eat. I am at my wits end! Please help!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I hope the Reglan helps you. It didn't work for me but if I have problems with this one I'm going to try Domperidone if the lactogenic foods and herbs don't work.
Also make sure you read the sticky thread at the top of this page about low milk supply. Lots of good info there.

I'm so sorry you're having this trouble--pumping is SO HARD! I don't have major advice, but do know that eating oatmeal every day has helped my supply (oatmeal cookies can help too!). Good luck--hopefully some other moms on here will have good advice!

I had this problem with my first ds and the lactation consultant hooked me up with this crazy contraption. It had a little tube that I taped to my nipple. Then I would get ds and make sure when I nursed the tube was in his mouth too. I got the stimulation I needed and he nursed better because he was actually getting milk. It was a pain in the #@$$!, but it only took a few weeks and my milk was back. I wish I remembered the name of that. Hope it helps...

Welcome to the 6 month pumping slump
Please read the stickie at the top of this forum regarding low milk supply. You will find good info there. Some people find shatavari herb helps when fenugreek doesn't.
Good luck!

A friend of mine who worked outside the home found that her daughter started "reverse cycling" at about that point. The baby was OK during the time away from her mom, would not take a bottle pretty much at all, and then nursed several times every night, all night long. She continued to gain in a healthy way, although her mom was pretty exhausted.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I read through a lot of the advice and I feel like I have done just about everything. I just got dom today in the mail so I am going to start that now. After that, I don't think there is anything left and I will try not to feel guilty about baby getting formula here and there. Thank you all for your help!
