Dishwasher Detergent?

Anyone know of a good natural dishwasher detergent? I'm using seventh generation but it just can't get dishes clean. I presoak, prerinse but they still come out dirty. I even put my DW on high scrub. I know I found a thread on this before but can't seem to locate it. If anyone has a good one please let me know.
thanks

I'm on my 4th brand of "natural" dishwasher powder/liquid/tablets thanks to my dh - who thinks nothing works like cascade . This started a few years ago. First we tried 7gen, then Mrs Meyers liquid (friend loved it), then Ecover tablets for over a year until I got sick of the "this stuff doesn't work" (I loved them) comments and bought Ultra Citra-Dish powder. We are on our second box and so far so good. sigh

We use Ecover rinse aid - thinking of just switching to white vinegar though......

White vinegar instead of Jet Dry? How much do you use? I have never heard of using vinegar!

I like the bio-kleen powder. It's super concentrated so you don't need much. Actually, if you use too much it won't all wash off but if you use about a tablespoon it works great.

I use BioKleen too but since we have relatively soft water I only use 2t. and it works great. The dishes come out clean and one canister lasts about 90 loads (instead of the advertised 64 loads). I pay $6.50 through my co-op but a local natural food store has it in bulk so I can refill my canister for about $3.20.

I love me Ecover tablets and think they clean better than any commercial, non-green dishwashing soap. I also use white vinegar in the rinse compartment. Works perfect!

I've think I've tried Ecover powder and it was ok but not great. I think I'll try and order some Biokleen online.

I use Nature Clean powder (I find that the liquid doesn't work quite as well) and I love it.
I also put vinegar in the jet dry thing.

If you have heard water, you'll need something with citric acid in it, I think.

Ecover powder, but the tablets will do in a pinch.

i use 7th generation.
i find its more the dishwasher than the product though. i got a new dishwasher and the difference is amazing...and we never have to prerinse now.
