Please explain in detail, CDC pages vs. CDC Pink book

Since DH and I strongly disagree on vaxes, we have agreed to go through the vaxes one by one and pros/cons. He will only listen to doctors and the CDC, and probably also the FDA He thinks CDC is God's gift to mankind.

Can someone explain to me, in detail and give examples, on how the "public" CDC pages are different than the Pink book which is not usually heard of in mainstream public? As far as vaxes anyways.

Also, is it the CDC that has the "raw data" of vaccine reactions that they will not release to the public? Do you have more info? I remember signing a petition for that.

If you are looking for info to support NOT vaxing....I would use the pink pook out of those 2 options. However, even the pink book has some stats that look off to me and of course there are no references. But, out of the two....the pink book is by far a better source.

The CDC states that no one should get information from the Internet unless there are sources to back up everything they post. Well, then you look at the CDC parent's site and there is not one reference. I guess they are god. They don't need references.

You could always have him call the CDC. They can read everything off of their website to him! LOL

Could one of you help me with a specific example. Let's go with HepB since that is the one I'd like to talk to him about first. What does it say on the CDC page vs. Pink book (I'll see if I can find it), and then what does it say elsewhere with references (about giving the vax to babies).

Let’s compare the CDCs statistics from The Pink Book: The Pink Book Chapter on Hepatitis B

Okay, this might work if the majority of cases were in children under the age of 10, but look at this:

Before routine childhood hepatitis B vaccination was recommended, more than 80% of acute HBV infections occurred among adults. Adolescents accounted for approximately 8% of infections, and children and infants infected through perinatal transmission accounted for approximately 4% each.
