breast tenderness/cysts

I'm wondering if this is normal or a bigger problem.

I have struggled with breast pain during PMS and pregnancy due to lots of cysts.

My baby is 6 weeks old and I breastfeed on demand. If I go longer than 2 hours between feedings (like when he naps), my breasts get hard and painful. Once he feeds I'm usually okay.

Is this a bad sign, or something probably due to the cysts?

Neither, that's just engorgement or your breasts getting full with milk. You can express some to relieve the pain/pressure, and your supply will naturally regulate in another month or two so that you don't get that as badly anymore.
