Does it hurt when you sneeze?

Whenever I sneeze... it hurts. Not the sneeze itself... but the stomach muscles contracting seems to cause some RL pain. Bah! So if I sneeze, it's usually followed by "ow.."

Has this happened to any of you?

Yep. Definitely abdominal pain after sneezing! For me it's lower down, like pelvis level rather than stomach level, but definitely yes. Makes me not want to sneeze when I feel one coming on!

It's one of my "OMG, I'm pregnant" symptoms...starts even before the + tests.

It usually goes away in the middle of the second tri. for me.

Same here! Usually down on my lower right side... it's real painful and lasts for a second or two and I do go "aaahh choo - OUCH" LOL!

me too! The muscle on my right side supporting my baby belly and if my back is acting wacky it hurts there too!

I can totally relate! It's pain in the low pelvis, both sides but more on the right. Sorry you ladies have to suffer from the same thing, but glad to know I'm not the only one! Does anyone know what this is caused by? Hopefully it gets better soon!

This happened to me for the first time today! I was pretty concerned, glad to know it's normal! And I have a cold, so lots of sneezing and belly aches!

I haven't sneezed much lately, but I had to curl up after a painful cough last night. I have found rounding my back seems to help when coughing hurts. Perhaps that would help with sneezing, too? * Jaime

Yup, totally hurts when I sneeze (and I sneeze a lot, urgh). After a couple of painful episodes, I kind of figured out how to position myself when the sneeze comes on so as to use my upper body to take the brunt of the impact. Since then, I've been pretty pain-free...

Yeah, it hurts my scar. And sometimes if it's a real doozie my belly tightens up like a BH.

Yep, sneezing is becoming very painful for me.
