anyone know of inexpensive natural hand soap? I can't seem to find any that are within our means, I need the liquid soap as opposed to bar soap (which I know is cheaper) because my son has extremely sensitive and dry skin.

Thanks!

I use a little bit of Dr. Bronner's and water (maybe 1:6) in a foaming pump. Works great and it's really cheap.

I do that too! Super cheap! Those foaming pumps are the best. You can water down any soap you like and they foam it up and make your soap go much farther. I think they get your hands cleaner too. Bronner's is way cheap and eviro friendly. Actually I have Trader Joe's brand castille soap, but same thing.

dr.bronners was entirely too drying for me to use as a handwash. it made my hands cracked and chapped. anyone have a work around for that?

Did you use it straight up? I put a tsp in a Method foaming dispenser and filled it the rest of the way with water. My hands get dry and cracked easily and this doesn't bother me. Because of that, I'm also in the habit of using lotion after washing my hands so that could be part of it too. HTH

What is within your means? I know of one that is $6 that comes with a foaming pump, and it's $8 for the refill (8oz of soap - you use 2 oz to refill the pump). It lasts a long time, it's a very nice pump, and the soap does not dry my skin. I used to find myself really needing to apply lotion after every time I washed my hands, but I don't with this. I have also used Tom's of Maine lavender soap to refill this pump, and find it very nice, too. I can't remember how much the Tom's cost.

disclaimer: I work for the WAHM that makes the soap I mentioned, so I'm hesitant to name it as I don't want to get in trouble for "advertising". If you are interested though, let me know and I'll PM you the web addy.

We use Seventh Generation dishsoap as our handsoap. You can always add EO's for antibacterial purposes.

6 is a lot for me.

I do use seventh generation for my dishes, I'm able to get a coupon on their site and I get it at target.

I had it in a foaming pump and very diluted with water. I've read about people adding a little oil to dr. b's to wash hair with, I wonder if that would work in a foaming pump too.

OP, if you want to make your soap stretch further, you can use just about any soap diluted in a foaming pump.
