to call or not to call? more bleeding *Update*

So I woke up in the middle of the night with more bleeding. Since I am 37 weeks and the blood was pink and watery, I would have assumed it was not a problem. But I am a little concerned becasue I did have red bleeding a week ago.

The bleeding has never been a sign of anything wrong. I just can't shake the feeling that the time I don't call will hurt my baby

Hi momma, I'm sure everything is fine! But you should call to calm your nerves about it honey.

Hugs,
Becky

I'd say give your midwife a call! Especially if you're having doubts. Mine says to call straight away for 3 things: water, blood & decreased movement.

A call would be good just to hear that it's something normal and know what it is - do you think you have a small membrane rupture? With it being watery, I was thinking of a "high leak" situation with amniotic fluid?

Yeah I'd call just to be on the safe side and I'm not the type that calls for every thing that comes up.

I'd call just to be sure. I am a worrier, so that's just me. I am sure everything is fine though. Could this be what they call "bloody show"?

I am really close to 100% sure it is a bloody show or part of a mucous plug. But I am such a worrier Since I have had so much other bleeding, it has me worrying. But my husband thinks all of the other bleeding hasn't been a problem, so I shouldn't worry.

Call, that is part of the reason you have midwife so she can tell you this is all normal when you freak out!

Definitely call. Let us know what's up.

Well "worrier" is one label you could put on it. "Intuition" is another. Is your DH a trained HCP? Even if he is, he doesn't know about THIS instance of bleeding.. Only about the other cases that turned out to be nothing, in retrospect. If you're concerned there is nothing wrong with calling and getting checked out like PP said.

I called and by some miracle, the OB was right there and I got to talk to her She asked me a couple of questions and gave me a few additional things to look for. So I have been officially told not to worry

Happy for you!

Good to hear!!

Glad to hear it! If it is show, then worrying certainly won't help your cervix keep opening. Even this late in the game it's better to be safe than sorry!

Good news! I'm glad that you don't need to worry!
