I have lots of Krisha Das and Wah! set to go for my l&d.

Also music that makes me happy like the Grateful Dead!!! : )

I have some Krishna Das too -- I'm addicted to the 1st half of Pilgrim Spirit but would like to hear your faves... And tell me about Wah!

I have lots of random good-energy songs including Cold Play (puts me in a very mellow but cheery mood) and Carole King and a couple Dixie Chicks and lots more.

BUT I wanted to make a special set that was mellower and less likely to draw my attention for later in the process. So I'd love to hear others' ideas too.

I just loaded my Ipod with my hybnobabies stuff last night. My friend is going to pass along some Hawaiian slack-key guitar music that she used during her birthing time. Other than that, I'm just not sure. I recall being easily annoyed during my last labor so I need some really mellow stuff.

I'm new to looking for relaxation/mood music, so take my input with a grain of salt, but after a couple hours browsing through Amazon.com the other day, I downloaded Llewelyn's "Reiki" album and have really been enjoying it. It's not so melodic as to attract my full attention, and does make me feel calm and peaceful. Only problem is that d/l'ing through Amazon, I think one of their tracks is broken - it cuts off just after 3 minutes instead of going about 5 minutes like the rest of the tracks. So if you look into that one, find a better place to download it than I did.

I also grabbed an album by Midori called Bonsai Garden. It has two half-hour tracks. I like that one reasonably well, also.

ELKmama, what do you have by Coldplay? I recently discovered them and love what I have, but I don't have a lot of exposure yet

Off to look up Krishna Das.

The ones I love most are from older albums -- like Yellow on Parachutes (and most of that album) and God Put a Smile... on Rush of Blood to the Head.

I'm going to listen to Llewelyn samples now...
