ok real quick...

can you nurse on one side, pump on the other and can lo still get enough to thrive on?

In general, yes, many women can do that.

Some women may have trouble responding to a pump and might not be able to produce much milk that way. Others may have low supply in general and not be able to do that.

Are you wanting to pump to donate? That would be an awesome thing.

Here's a good article on milk donation, and I think there is a pumping to donate tribe here in BF challenges somewhere.
