nak forgive my typos please
So I have enough material (free, from salvaging in my yard) to build one 4x4 and one 3x3 SFG. However, I also discovered 4 old tires behind my garage. Is there any reason I couldn't use them for, say, potatoes using the same basic principles of sfg? Do you think there'd be anything yucky in the tires that would affect my soil? I'd love to find such a use for them, as it would have the added benefit of not giving the mosquitoes a nice nesting place.
Opinions? Anyone done this? Know where I could find out about the soil issue? Otherwise maybe I could plant flowers or other non-edibles in them? Square circle gardening?
