With DS1 I lost all my pregnancy weight by 7 months old.
But just wondering how the weight loss is going for some of you... I am curious to see if it takes others as long as me with DS1 to loose the weight.

For this pregnancy I was:
Prepreg- 108
Day I delivered - 153
Now 2 weeks post- 130

So I have lost 23lbs but feel like it should be more. I guess I am just not remembering the gradual loss of weight with DS1. I keep hearing friends say that within a week or two they were 5 lbs within pre-preg weight... am I strange? With DS1 I gained almost the same amount of weight...

Well I don't remember how long it took with the other kids but this time around I am 6 weeks post pardom and I have already lost all the weight but 2 pounds.

I have been working my tale off though. I started working out 2 weeks after I had her.

The weight is slowly coming off me too. I ended the pregnancy around lets say 200 whopping pounds!! I am now down to 169.5 (this morning bare naked after peeing!!) I started back at the gym this week and was also able to sneak in my 4 mile walk today (and should get to do it tomorrow too!). I am hoping to get back to about 150-155. I am pretty tall (5'11") and this is a good weight for me! So, I am actively tracking my weight loss and hoping that with nursing, exercise and eating sensibly it will come off! If anyone is interested in a daily chat about weight loss and motivating each other I would love it!!

i was 140 pre preg, 190 at birth, and i'm at 166 at 1 week 5 days pp. i'm kinda ready to start a light workout, but for some reason i want to wait till i'm done bleeding.

Thanks ladies!

I just don't feel ready for long walks with toddler and newborn yet. I also have to watch what I eat a bit. I have been eating cookies as a quick boost snack because of lack of free time.. I have to get back to a good snack and exercise routine!

I was at 115 pre pregnancy, 128 when I delivered and don't ask me how I did it am at 112 now. I was back to my pre pregnancy weight after about 2 weeks. I know it is to much to fast. I am eating a lot. I was really worried that it would affect my milk but it hasn't TG!!

It took me 6 weeks to lose the weight after my daughter's birth. I remember having to wear jeans 4 sizes bigger than normal the first month or so. I think having surgery really delays the weight loss.

This time I've lost about half of it at 3 weeks postpartum. I'm at least a good 5-10 pounds away from wearing any of my old jeans...maybe more. So off to the store I go. I'm NOT wearing these maternity pants for the next month!

I haven't weighed myself yet but I'm 6 weeks postpartum and my guess is I have about 15 lbs to lose. Prepreg I was 113, delivery I was 145. I wish I was a little closer to my target weight by now, I am hoping to be back in my jeans in a few more weeks.

I gained 60 pounds with #1, lost all but 20 when I got pregnant with #2.

Gained 40 pounds with #2, only lost 20 when I got pregnant with #3.

Gained 20 with #3. (Notice a pattern here? I think my body is only equipped to give birth right around 200 pounds, no matter where I start and/or how much I eat or get sick.) I've lost 10 so far, but have about 60 to go before I get back to my pre-babies weight.

I'm going back to the gym the week after next.

I am one of those people that does NOT lose weight while breastfeeding, no matter what I eat or how much I work out. Sigh.

I gained 85 with e and took 2 years to get back to pre preg weight and then some, so I was a size 6 before him and then a 4 at two years pp.

This time I gained 43 and I am already in 8's. I wish I had a scale cause it is killing me how much I have lost. I am VERY happy!

I was 140 pre-pregnancy and gave birth at 180.

I weighed in at 158 yesterday at the doctor, though I really feel smaller than that. It's all in my boobs, right?

that's how I feel. I'm down to 4 pound above pre-preg weight but I feel like a pile of mush- I want to start exercising but everytime I even go for a walk I start bleeding again.

im loosing about a half a pound a day right now which I guess is good hopefully it will keep up

I gained about 40 lbs with Alex, lost a good 35 or so by 3wks pp and suffered a big drop in my supply so I ended up gaining a few pounds back and have been maintaining 8lbs over pre-pregnancy weight since. My metabolism is definitely throwing me for a loop - I feel like I'm eating huge amounts of food to maintain this weight and after a lifetime of being obese this is completely new to me. Since Alex's weight gain pretty much stopped when I was loosing weight like crazy I'm a little afraid to let myself start loosing again. I'm thinking that I'm probably going to keep my intake about the same and increase my activity level, while keeping my weight loss to no more than a pound a week. That works best for me anyway since the more I have to think about things the more likely I am to fail.

HA! This is me too. And I'm a little further postpartum than all of you.:
Before getting pregnant: 125lbs
before delivering: 155lbs
now 2 months postpartum: 145lbs

The weight is just NOT coming off. I'm REALLY frustrated.

I've been about the same since I was a week PP. I never lose weight when bf until baby takes more solids. I think I delievered about 215 and I'm 196 now. I really should be 140 but I don't count on that happening for a long time. My parents are here this week and after that I'm going to get serious I think. We'll see how much I can do w/ 4 litle kids...

Before pregnancy - 111 lbs.

At delivery - 157 lbs.

3 weeks PP - 125 lbs.


I think I'll be happy stopping at another 5-10 lbs. of lost weight. I'm actually ok with my weight now, but I'd like to fit back into my clothes again!

I'd love a buddy! I gained a huge amount of weight with the twins and it needs to GO.
