Whether or not you take medication, here are some ideas to help lessen your depression...
  1. Going to a moms group
  2. Going for a walk with baby
  3. Cooking a delicious meal
  4. Cleaning
  5. Reading a good book
  6. Taking a hot bath
  7. Excersizing
  8. Listening to music
  9. Writing your thoughts in a letter or journal
  10. Talking to friends
  11. Going to a support group and sharing your feelings
  12. Posting a message in this forum

Feel free to add to my list!

sometimes just sitting in church helps me.

grooming my dog.

doing something spontaneous. I went to my old grade school and toured the grounds. What a blast from the past.

getting a pedicure. All day I will look down at my toes and the cute flower design on them.

sending someone flowers. just for the heck of it.

Getting something small done helps me, b/c I feel so overwhelmed. Making a list of some of my favorite things (I like lists!) Consuming something that I love- coffee, bubble water, fresh veggies, or ice cream with chocolate. Getting outside, even if it's cold and a pain. Turning off the computer, lol. It's a great resource but also a frustrating procrastinator when I can't deal!
