Show us your Montessori child and/or your Montessori class!

I'd love to "see" all the kids who are Montessori lovers! And if you have any class pictures to share, I think it would be great to see those too!

Here is the website of where she is finishing up the year... it shows pics of her classroom:

Please do not share class pictures

I just wanted to jump in here in respose to sharing class pictures. This is a public website. It is up to you whether you feel comfortable sharing pictures of your own children on this site, that's fine. Similarly, pictures of your child in their classroom would be fine.

However, I would urge you not to put pictures of other people's children up without their consent. I would not want someone posting pictures of my child publicly on the internet without asking me first. My child has appeared in publications and such for my montessori school, but my consent was always obtained first.

I agree with the post about obtaining permission first.

That said, these have all appeared on the school's web site with permission obtained. So they were definitely allowed.

Click on the picture in there, then click on "Montessori Classroom in Taiwan"

Or...whatever it's called.

I agree Matt, a school site is fine.

There are a few pictures that are down on that web page. You might want to let them know to look over it.

Here is a picture of my son working with the brown blocks (the director takes pictures and forwards to the parents.)

I haven't had a chance to take really good pics of my DD's classroom, but here is one that shows some of the jobs on the shelves (it's a tad blurry):

Sunrise - ok I realize you took out your schools link - but before you did I got a chance to pull up their website, and wanted to share with you that I really really like how they detail out their curriculum like that. So simple, and yet so explanatory! (some schools have too much theory - this is just a very elegant way to explain what the child is working on).

I'm saving it (not to be stalker like!) but to share with my school, as I've been trying to get them to increase the information on their website. So many new parents aren't as familiar with the M method/philosophy as they'd like, and I think that some simple curriculum info like that on their website, goes a long way towards educating those who aren't familiar with the M methods...

You are fast! And thanks for telling me. I just checked out the curriculum link ... I think all that information is new!!! It is quite detailed, and nicely done with the pictures. I'll pass on your comment too! (Maybe I should take down my sons picture and leave up their website...I'll switch tomorrow)

Unfortunately, my son's school doesn't say really anything about the curriculum - just general M theory type info. Hard core examples about what the 3-6 year olds are doing is so helpful in my experience.

He had one more to go. Do you know if he ended up getting the small one on top? Just curious.

I love that picture. There's one picture in my Montessori Blog of a child doing the same thing.
