Y'know those commercials on TV (for those who watch
) for a disposable pad company which will not be named that shows a girl in Africa who has to stay home from school during her period *until* the wonderful disposable pad company donates some pads to her? Yeah, I grumble at those every time they come on--what happens when they stop donating pads to her and she doesn't have the money to buy them? What do women in her village normally do? Do they really need more plastic trash in their lives? (It kind of reminds me of baby formula give-aways in developing nations . . . . )
Anyway, I just got an email from Lunapads, and they are selling a package of cloth pads and liners to be donated to African girls and women! Yay!

Cloth is a much better alternative IMO.
I wonder if Diva Cup or Keeper or another reusable cup company will get on the bandwagon too. I would deffinitly support that!
