wahm opportunities that doesn't involve selling?

Thread Starter
I've looked through all the threads in this forum but don't know if this is where I should post this question.

Are there any type of wahm opportunities that doesn't involve selling stuff?

you mean physically selling items and shipping them, or selling period?

if you develop a popular blog or site you could sell ad space.

I have worked from home for 7 years and I don't sell. Mainly I work online and phone.
I actually live in a town that only has 700 ppl so, selling wouldn't be an option!
I used to be an elementary teacher but wanted to be home with my 3 boys.

mandymom3: Hi, mind if I ask what it is you do exactly? I've been looking for wahm opportunities and not particularly wanting to sell anything but at least make some $$$. Figured I could do cloth diapers just learning how to make them so figured it would take a bit before I could do that.

I have office experience so anything data entry or something? I have a 16 month old so time is of the essence and it would mostly be bedtime I would get the opportunity to work. Thanks for any advice!

Her company is a part of Melaleuca.
There are a couple of threads about them in the WAHM folder.

There are lots of JOBs that don't require selling at all. I think a lot of it depends on your interests, personality, and skills. I discovered very early that I will never be a good sales person However I do have a current teaching certificate and right now I have a teaching job from home. I have also thought about online tutoring. Grading Tests for ETS and/or Pearson.

If you type there is transcription.
If you are an experienced computer programmer or graphics designer you can do this in a WAH contract position.
If your spouse can watch the kids there's always phone work such as telemarketing.
Proofreading occasionally.
Customer Service/Tech Support
Data Entry
Court Researchers
Blogging (usually need to have a blog updated for atleast a month before applying)
Virtual Assistant
Appointment Setter
Freelance Writing
Start an in home daycare
Seamstress-target those who need frequent alterations such as pagent families.
Photography
Travel Agent

I hope this helps or gets you started with other WAHM ideas :-)

I'm currently trying to find a legit way to get into data entry, etc. How would one go about looking for that type of work?
