Peri bottle?

How long do I keep using this thing? It's been 2 weeks and I'm still using it. My midwife said my stitches should take about 21 days to fully heal, so do I use it for another week, or is it more for comfort and I can quit when I want?

I just quit whenever I want, but I also didn't have a stitch this time and only one last time. I also have other problems with recovery though so both times I ended up using the peri bottle for the first maybe 2 weeks but then had to switch to sitz baths instead because of a fissure. Now at 7 weeks I'm finally just able to start phasing out the sitz baths too.

I used it for about 3 weeks pretty regularly. Now that my bleeding is pretty much gone I rarely use it. After the first week I just use it to help myself feel clean pretty much!

I would say you can stop using it whenever you feel comfortable wiping again. I like to use it just to freshen up! When you are done using it, peri bottles work great to mix up a wipe solution for diaper changes. I use it to squirt off the babys bum if really messy or just to squirt the washcloth to clean the baby with.

I agree! During the day I just wet a washcloth under the faucet but before bed I fill the peri bottle with super hot water. It stays semi warm throughout the night and I squirt the washcloth with it. No need to get out of bed
