We aren't doing a nursery this time... since our last nursery looked just as pretty and unused when we moved out of that house as it did when we set it up LOL

Currently it is a full size bed in our guest room (the crib, that is).

My biggest tip is if you can, try to go with a color theme instead of a character/animal/whatever theme... I swear, by the time DS was six months old I was SO SICK OF POOH STUFF EVERYWHERE. People are STILL buying Pooh stuff. AaaAAAAaaAAHHH!!!!

Plus colors are easier to turn into an older child theme, too.

Ok... Tell me about the sign on your diaper pail... The cloth diaper sign? Did you make it? Got any other pics of it? I LOVE it.

I just have a plain piece of paper hanging in the bathrom above my pail with instructions for the nurses.

Our 'nursery' will be the baby's room when he/she is older. We're fixing it up since it's been the guestroom and the only room that wasn't fixed when we moved in here but really, our kids' rooms serve only as a big toy box/closet. However, I have big plans for this toy box/closet!!! It will still be the guest room when we have company though.

Kh--Wow, that pic must make it look GOOD!

I had no tape or glue or anything, so all that is is a MS word document I made with alternative fonts I downloaded, printed off, and it's held onto the can by two RUBBER BANDS

I did eventually laminate it LOL

I'm more than happy to make one with whatever text you want tho! =D I'd have to make it an image file, otherwise the fonts will get lost.

I'll be lucky if I get out the clothes from the basement in time.
I only did a room for #1, well, we only have 1 extra room, and #4 will have to share it with 3 brothers eventually no matter what the gender. For now, I'll drag out the toddler rail and put it on my side of the bed after baby is born.

But for #1 I chose to hunt resale shops and eBay for the Baby Gap Squeak Chirp line and chose other mouse and stars themed items to go with it. It was pretty basic though.

Thanks, guys! It makes me swoon a little bit. I am very lucky to have such talented friends! I went with something that I thought would be cooler when Monkey was older - not so baby baby, since I think he'll be sleeping with us most of the time. But the room was sitting empty in our house and I got a little nest-y. It's Chronicles of Narnia inspired... and my sister is DYING to put a lamppost in there. So far I've held her off, but it might be harder when she is back in town.

I'm still planning to hang something from the ceiling over the reading nook so it looks like leaves - trying to decide how best to do that, but it will eventually have a canopy over it. Can you tell I'm hoping for a bookworm??

Emily - love your theme! My original idea was to do green walls and big hot pink flowers if we ended up with a girl. But I'm fine with my little boy.

Oh and our DD and babe will be sharing a room and they will each get two "walls" but we haven't even thought much about it yet especially with only gettting a maybe on the gender. We just moved in a month ago...

However our playroom has a rocketship on the wall!

I was just going to say - I got the entire "nursery" today at a consignment sale!
*waterproof mattress pad for that side of the bed (yeah, I act like it's for the magical nighttiem leaky diaper.. but really it;s for my uncontrollable boob milk that leaks out every where..)
*snugglenest for 1st few weeks of tinyness
*4 wicker baskets for baby stuff ontop of my (well I guess it'll noe be 'our') dresser.

thats it.
baby will be in our room about 2 years, then it will move in with it's sisters.
even if it;s a boy.

For the girls we have a sleeping room (and bout 30-40% of the time they sleep with us still) and a play room. So all 3 of our kids will eventually sleep in 1 room, and have another one for playing/projects.school etc.

I do get ALL excited and into doing the rooms once they move into them.
Next month we are goign to be painting the Sleeping room!!! the girls picked out Yellow and Periwinkle. I cannot wait!

I have to say it is such a relief to see someone else have their nurseries done ..I thought I was the only totally freak for thinking nursery at 20 weeks:-) The worst part about the obsession is that the baby will co-sleep in our room forever and will rarely even see the nursery, oh well, we will change dipes in there!!
