Weekly chit-chat thread 3/9-3/15 - Page 2

I got my second beta back and things are looking pretty good. Went from 1400+ on 2/29 to 11,000+ on 3/6 - doubling almost exactly every 2 days. Woohoo! Because of the last m/c (development stopped around 6-7 weeks), my MW wants me to have an early u/s next week to check everything, esp. growth. I am gradually feeling worse every day - more nausea, more boob pain (they feel like lead balloons...), more tired - so I suppose that is positive. Today I just want to go back to bed, but I have to work. I am SO getting a nap this afternoon!

Oh, yes, you have NO idea. After what happened last time, I've been terribly paranoid, worried that since my boobs weren't AS sore, my nausea not AS bad, then things must not be going well. Well, both the boob pain and nausea are certainly picking up pace, so I guess I should watch what I wish for!

Ok, I'm going to jinx it. I'm on day 4 with no nausea! Could this be the end of it?!? Can I do a little dance now?

still slightly nauseas here but that is a good thing...especially since I am feeling crampy today....I hate when I feel crampy....makes me sooo nervous...

Everyone seems to be doing so well! Betas increasing, nausea diminishing! YAY!

As for me, I sneezed and peed....twice. This flu kicked my @$$. I had a fever for 4 days and it finally broke this morning. I'm left with a yucky cough and head congestion. I'm exhausted from the fever, I think. My body is just worn out from trying to fight this stuff AND grow a baby at the same time!

Am I crazy for wanting to take a pg test to make sure I'm still actually pg, even though I've had no bleeding? Since I'm not starting prenatals until the 2nd tri, I've had no real proof like u/s or beta numbers. Anyone else still poas??? I have none in my house or I'm sure I would!

I haven't but I totally understand the urge. Glad you're a little better.

Well, I am 7w1d and 30 years old today! Wooohooo! Part of me has been dreading today, you know, end of my 20's, getting older and all that. But, as I think about it, my life keeps getting better and better the older I get. I would never go back and I am excited about the future! Especially about the little baby in my belly! Just wanted to share my happiness with you all.

Well, I've been out of commission for a few days, so I figured now that I'm here I'd better jump in before this thread becomes too much for me to handle. LOL.

I'm 7 weeks! The morning sickness has started to kick in, it was so bad that yesterday I had to call off work because I couldn't stop puking. (sorry- TMI.) I really hope this doesn't get worse, I'm such a baby when it comes to throwing up.

On to more fun subjects, a few weeks ago Dh was out of town when I hit the 5 week mark, so I looked up Squint's development for the week and e-mailed it to him so he wouldn't be "missing" anything. Ha, ha! Well, every week since then he has asked me to e-mail him an update at his work just so he can read what's going on w/ the baby and me. He said that it makes his day. Its so cute.

I still have no appointment set up yet. We met with a midwife and now DH and I are talking about meeting a very natural birth friendly ob (backs up the HB midwives in our area) just so he can get both perspectives on childbirth. I really don't want to fork over the money for a consultation when we're leaning towards homebirth, but at the same time I want DH to know that I do take his feelings and opinions seriously. We shall see.

^ I agree, that is really adorable! Sometimes, I'll call Chris over to the computer to see "what our baby looks like" and he's always just like, "Wow..." I think it's so cute!
