I have read Lamb, Dirty Job, Bloodsucking Fiends, and You Suck. I think he is HILARIOUS!!! What should I read next? Lamb and You Suck are my favs so far.

I've only read Fluke, but I liked it. Kind of like Tom Robbins, I thought!

I'm going to try reading Lamb, since that is the one people seem most "into" - that and You Suck.

I love Christopher Moore.

"Lamb" is one of the most remarkable books I've ever read...and I've read, probably, thousands, no exaggeration.

I loved "Fluke" and "Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove," but they're the only other ones I've read. LOL

DP and I are currently on a Moore kick. We both read Lamb and loved it oh-so-much. Then he read Coyote Blue and didn't really enjoy it at all. I read You Suck and loved it until the end, which felt really abrupt and kind of half-assed to me. It felt like there was a chapter missing or something. DP is currently reading The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove and is really enjoying it and I plan to read it when he's done.

He is one of very few authors that has me consistently laughing out loud the whole time I'm reading. I really enjoy his style.

I really liked The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove, but I think you need to read Island of the Sequined Love Nuns before reading it.

Also, You Suck works better if you've already read Bloodsucking Fiends.

Fluke and Lamb are my favorites.

I love them all. I wrote to Chris Moore after I read You Suck, and he actually emailed me back!

I would read ANYTHING by Christopher Moore & love it.

I love Moore! I am hoping to finish The Kite Runner tonight so I can start on Lamb. I got the copy that looks like a bible (soft leather, gold edged pages, attached red string bookmarker...)
Another vote for You Suck for those who haven't read it. It was great.

I adore his books and have read them all. I particularly like the Bloodsucking Fiends/you suck "series" and A Dirty Job. I think my favorite is The Stupidest Angel... but really I love them all.

Island of the Sequined Love Nun was SUCH a great book! I had no clue what it was about or who he was, but this is one of my MAJOR MAJOR super lucky book finds. It's just so much fun!

Currently on a Moore kick myself --- it's like watching a really good movie - entertaining and I'm not digging too deep.

YAY! A Christopher Moore love fest!

I love his books. They are so flipping funny. I just finished The Stupidest Angel and enjoyed it, although personally I preferred Bloodsucking Fiends and Lamb.

I just finished Lust Lizard last night and have started on Fluke. I emailed him a quick note to say thanks for a great read. Got a reply in a minute and was excited to find out he will have something new out in 09 - a vampire one! Between now and then, I'm sure to finish the rest.

I've been wanting to read something by Christopher Moore for a long time! It all sounds very interesting. Which one should I start with? I would assume Lamb, but I thought I'd ask.

I am reading A Dirty Job and am loving it. I tried reading Lamb last summer and couldn't get hooked. This one got me right away.

Is "You Suck" a sequel to "Bloodsucking Fiends"?

I LOVE Christopher Moore books! The two I would reccommend first are Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove, and The Stupidest Angel. They are companion books and just don't-read-them-on-the-subway hilarious.

I'm really enjoying Fluke and would rec it as a starter. I would not start with Coyote Blue - it was good, but it wouldn't have hooked me like the rest. A Dirty Job did me in on this path of fun...a great, fun read!

I need more authors like this~ the twistedness of it reminds me of Haruki Murakami.
