I was at Whole Foods today and they had a display of Kerrygold Kilaree Cheddar. Aged 15 mos. The sign said Kerrygold only chose milk from the south part of Ireland during the grass growing season. It also made a claim that you could taste the grass in it.
I will say that it is a gorgeous shade of yellow and it is so creamy and tasty. I can't say that I tasted "grass",
. It's more yellow than Organic Valley's Raw Milk Cheddar.
It's about $7.99 per pound making it 1/2 the cost of their black wax cheddar.
I bought home three packages.
