Lactation Consultant?

I'm on my way to becoming a postpartum doula through DONA.

How does one go about becoming a lactation consultant? This would be a good skill to have along with pp doula-ing.

IBCLE is for lactation consultants. I'd love to do it, but there's no way I can get all of the experience they require. CBI will be introducing a lactation counselor program sometime this year which seems more doable for me. Not as in depth as IBCLE though.
