Influenza burning me up-what's safe to take?Compazine and Tamiflu?

Does anybody have Dr.Hale's Medication Book and can help me out? I am burning up with a temperature of over 103. Went to the Doctor who was not very helpful. Have a mastitis on top of the Flu.

He wasn't sure if the medication are okay with breasftfeeding- so, what are those two, does it make sense to take them? I am seriously sick like a dog, I hope I don't have to go to the ER later tonight. Can't eat or drink, everything hurts so bad.

Here is a part of his response to a question about Tamiflu:

We have no data on Tamiflu in breastfeeding mothers. If you look at the efficacy of this product in reducing symptoms and severity of flu, it is only marginal, perhaps only reducing the duration by a day at best and then ONLY if you take it immediately when symptoms appear.

This is one of those cases where in most normal women... taking the medication is not worth the risk (however low) to the infant.

Basically, if you are going to gain a lot from taking a medication, then it might be worth a little risk to the infant. But if you're NOT going to gain much...then I wouldn't take it.

My dh and I just recently got over having the flu (together i might add) and he took tamiflu and I didn't so I could nurse my baby through it. I thought it was more important to nurse her so she could fight the virus than it was for me to speed my recovery. Thankfully, even though Dh took the tamiflu our symptoms went away at the same time. I took lots of theraflu and tylenol flu medicine and still nursed. This did cause my baby to get thrush and we are currently treating for that but I am of the mind to try to treat your symptoms with whatever will allow you to nurse. If you don't think you can make it then take the tamiflu but my doc told me not to nurse while using it. Hope you feel better.

I ended up not taking the Tamiflu. a)wanted to make sure baby has a chance of not getting sick, but baby got sick anyway. So much for that.
I felt better yesterday but today is just horrible. I am sicker than yesterday and Baby and I both have a fever of 102, great.

The flu is awful, my husband can't be at home so I don't get to rest at all and taking care of a sick baby while you're close to passing out yourself just sucks. MIL was here yesterday when I felt better, wished she was here today.
