I tried to post this on Monday but go the board down message...ugh!! I didn't scroll down to see if it did post so I apologize if I've double posted this announcement...
Last Tuesday (3/4), we welcomed our 5th daughter into the worldl!!!!
I have had two medicated, hospital births (DP has one dd from a previous marriage and I have 3) and this one was the total opposite. My water broke last Monday a little after 11 p.m. while doing what we did to make our sweet baby.
Contractions didn't begin until Tuesday morning at around 9 a.m. (with the exception of a few super mild crampy ones during the night) not really picking up until around 10. After a 2 1/2 hour labor (Yay!!!!) and 10 minutes of pushing, Willa was born in the water into her Daddy's hands with her four older sisters watching. She nursed within 10 minutes. She was due 3/17 but decided to come into the world on 3/4...38w1d. She was covered in vernix but was healthy and strong! She weighed in at 6 lbs. 6 oz. and was 19 1/2" long and is a nursing PRO!
It was an amazing experience that I am so overjoyed that our daughters got to see!! Our Willa is just pure bliss!
