i appreciate the fact that we have a ddc at all, because this group has been an indispensable support for me. it's really amazing all that we've been through together, and i'm grateful to mdc for providing this space.
i do *wish* that due date clubs would stay open for, say, three months after the birth month. that would be enough time for everyone in the ddc to clear the first six weeks, get a chance to catch up, and still have this haven of support. even though ours is staying open longer, it feels like a fluke. since we all thought it was going to close sooner we scattered with the winds and lost the chance to provide and recieve as much post-partum support as we could have from the same awesome group of women with whom we've shared morning sickness, prenatal check-ups, heartburn, sciatica, moodiness, insomnia, unruly veins, cravings, first baby kicks, contractions, and lots and lots of waiting. and wayyy more!
i wish we not only had more time w/ this space, but knew we were going to have it.
