Pregnant, Nursing, Toddler has diarrhea

I am only in my 4th month of pregnancy and my toddler is still nursing.
For the last few days he's had diarrhea (sp?) that seems to be getting worse (more yellow, etc.).
Should I assume he's sick or has a problem with his diet (we haven't really changed anything) or could colostrum (= laxative effect) really sneak in that early?

I bet it's from your milk - especially if there haven't been any other major changes.

I nursed my dd until one month before ds2 was born and she never had any change in her stools. I guess it could be from your milk, but since it's flu season, my guess would be a virus.

The flu is not an intestinal virus

Angela, why would you assume it's from her milk, not that her dc has a stomach bug? I'm not snarking, I'm honestly asking, as I know nothing about pregnant nursing. It just seems odd that she'd have colostrum at 4 mos pg. The LCs I talked to were shocked that I had colostrum as early as 7 mos when I was pg with dd.

If he caught a stomach bug, he's not sharing it . None of us are sick and he doesn't have any other symptoms.
He is drooling a lot though. It looks like lots of molars are trying to come in at the same time. Could that cause it?

Really? I've been searching online today on this subject and a lot of sites actually said 5 or 6 months was the norm. A few said as early as 3 months. To start at 7 months doesn't seem that odd/early.

3 months:

6 months:

...silly me - I should have looked up Kellymom earlier. Here it is:

(Kellymom says 4th to 8th month, sometimes earlier)

I am not saying the milk changing is what's going on. He could very well have some kind of bug and the rest of us will follow his lead shortly.
I just wanted to share what I came up with today...

She doesn't describe any other viral symptoms. Pregnant milk does all sorts of weird things... It's not at all unheard of to have serious changes in milk any time in pregnancy.
