hidden pul, wicking, and foe

I prefer making AIOs with hidden PUL, and an outer cotton print. I know this is asking for wicking, but I can't help myself :P All my fabrics are too danged cute and covering dd's tush in them is irresistible! I started out making leg casings, then switched to making the fleece roll out w/o casings. That reduced the wicking a little. I also make sure to keep the soaker far enough from the legs. My PUL is 1mil.. would 2mil be less wicking prone? I was searching this forum and I saw it suggested a couple times to use FOE when making a hidden pul dipe. I've never really thought of using foe, but now I'm thinking of giving it a try! Does it really help curb the wicking?

It might help. 2 mil might help too, although it's stiffer. Have you tried thicker soakers? Or more absorbent body layers? It is pretty tough to to keep cotton outer aios from leaking.
Hope you have success!

I use FOE and hardly have any wicking unless dd is in the diaper for a super long time (aka I sit down on the computer and time mysteriously disappears...) The only prob I have with FOE is that I think the white starts to look dingy after a couple weeks of wear. I only use colored FOE now and am trying to find the time to dye all of the white FOE I've got lying!
