The other day we heard from a lab that's running Ben's IgG ELISA test. They're billing BC/BS $1,050, of which $690 is our responsibility. And this was just ONE of the 9 stinking vials that were drawn plus the 3 stool samples taken....AHHHHHH!!!!! After I calmed myself from wanting to threaten the life of the kindly (arrogant) gentleman on the phone from the lab, I sadly gave over our cc number in order to have the tests completed.
We've worked sooooo hard at reducing our cc debts; this is a nasty set-back, but how can I possibly deny my suffering baby the answers we so desperately need?
It's no exaggeration at all that we've shelled out $2-3,000 in the last 6 mos just trying to unravel my son's issues. When does it end, and why does it cost so d**n much to have good health??
