ok got some calves liver now, i'm going to eat it raw and unfrozen! but i don't know how much to eat to have a benefit from it. i don't think i'm going to manage very much without gagging! but how much would be beneficial?

just curious i'm not pregnant but i have a friend who is and she was wondering if its ok to eat raw and if so how much? i just remember the standard advice of preganant women should be careful of liver, i don't know what the TF opinion on this is.

oh just one more question is it ok to have CLO and liver at the same time - again i'm worrying about Vit A overdosing? i've got non TF medically trained PIL saying i need to be careful.

I've been swallowing frozen liver pills for a little while now. Probably a teaspoon worth a day when I remember. I haven't noticed a single health benefit from it though.

Back on the "liver sisters" thread, I asked about Vit A overdose (at least I think it was me ) and I think that the answer was because it's natural and not synthetic, it was okay.

No idea about pregnant women. I'm pretty sure the WAPF stance is that it's okay and recommended.

I don't really have any answers for you, but I have a question. :

Why aren't you going to freeze the liver? I thought that freezing for 2 wks. killed any parasites that might be in the liver. Am I uninformed? Also, it's easier to get down when frozen (I speak from experience here).
