Most of the bad stories I've heard about the mirena were from women who haven't had kids. I've looked into it and think it's a pretty good gamble (at least for me) over the copper IUD because I've heard bleeding is a lot heavier which I'm not interested in . I'll give it a shot and hope that it works. We just need to cover this time between dd and the next kiddo and then dh will get the snip!

We want to have sex so bad! I can feel my stitches still and don't want to do anything until those are gone. Boo. Robin has started sleeping fairly well in the bouncy seat so I'm hoping that by the time I'm/we're ready, she will be ok in that or a swing for awhile. DH is going nuts waiting for the love!

This is actually a fairly common rookie mistake. "Three methods are better than one!" sounds entirely reasonable, until you think about what's actually physically involved... then you'll understand why condom + diaphragm = higher risk of pregnancy than either alone. Why? Rubber rubbing against rubber! Try it yourself with a pair of gloves, some water-based lube and some enthusiasm. It's a heck of a lot easier to make a hole wearing two gloves than it is wearing only one.
