Bad colds, pink eye - is vinegar enough?

We're dealing with some pretty bad colds and pink eye around here. I'm stripping all the beds and washing the sheets/blankets.

I'm wondering if vinegar in the rinse water is enough? or should I do more?

You could try TTO in the wash. That's the only other thing I can think of or lavender EO.

Pink eye is a bugger! Just dealt with a bout for me and DS, we brewed some strong chamomile tea and used it as an eye rinse several times a day and it was pretty much gone after a day or so. As for your rinse water, what about a couple of drops of GSE? I've wondered about putting TTO in the wash, it doesn't cause any grease/oil stains on clothes?

I think drying your sheets and towels on hot in the dryer should also kill most anything.

Hope everyone feels better soon!
