What does you dlo call you?

I am writing a book... from the point of a little child say about 3 or 4.

I am looking for a title for the main adult male. He could be the child farther, he could just be the mum's S/O or DP...

Any ideas?

Well, I respond to anything my kids come up with that starts with Da...

So far I am Da, Dada, Dak.

I'm really pressing for Dada from my 11mo daughter. I want to be Dada until I am Daddy, then Dad after that.

We go w/ Dada. My LO is 20mo. I asked DH if he'd like to be called something different, but he prefers Dada.

Ds says "papa" and "papi", or "dada" and "dawd" and working on saying "papa papi poo" just because I think it's funny Sometimes he even says "mama" because he gets them mixed up

"Oh, what do you usually call me?"

"C, but today I'm calling you daddy."

She's almost 4. They always have discussions about this because she thinks it's cool to call him by his firstname but he insists she call him daddy.

and mine call me Dayee, Daddy, and sometimes my DD(almost 2) calls me "Mama" and calls DW "Dad". She has done that since she was pretty young.

Around here it's Papa. Has been since she started talking, mostly.

All the neighborhood kids (who mostly call their fathers Dad or Daddy) call DH "Papa [first initial of last name]". It's cute. He plays with the neighborhood kids more than most fathers, so they all know him.

Have to say I like how my Father signs his name as just Da.
ds is 3 and uses a variety of daddy dad dada and Nananyel(Nathanael) and an occasional papa.

My daughter calls me papa and my son calls me daddy. It's cute to see them argue over which is correct.
