What should I knit...

with one 50g skein of Blue Sky alpaca sport?
I tried a Calorimetry but it was waaaaaaay too stretchy (you can see it on ravelry-I'm finnsmama).
In fact, as much as I love the feel of alpaca, I'm having trouble finding the right project for it because of the stretch. I made some mittens out of alpaca and I can't wear them because they will just fall off. Anyway, I was thinking of fingerless mitts/gloves, but am a bit afraid!
Any suggestions?
TIA!

What about a sweet little neck scarf? I could be lacey or not. Alpaca is very, very warm so it would be warm with or without holes. From my experience (which is not much with alpaca) it does not have near the memory of lamb's wool so things that need to keep their stretch (hats, gloves, socks, etc.) are not ideal made from pure alpaca.

I like the [Caution: Rav-links ahead] Huckleberry Ascot (I think it might take two skeins knit as wide as the pattern calls for)

and the Airy Scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. There are several in the project gallery knit from alpaca.

Thanks! I like that airy scarf. I think I may give that one a go. I'm a bit disappointed though, because it seems like all you can knit out alpaca is scarves and toys,!
