Baby Sabrina was born at 5.47am on March 12th weighing 8lbs 7 oz and measuring 21 and a quarter inches long.
She is gorgeous with big fat cheeks and lovely dark hair.
Not only did I not get the homebirth I wanted, but I labored naturally for 19 hours to fully dilated before getting an epidural and then ultimately a c-section due to Sabrina's intolerance to any pushing..
So we are still in the hospital, hoping to go home tomorrow afternoon. The staff here have been generally fabulous and Sabrina has not been out of our sight since she was born. She is rooming in with us and likes nothing better than sleeping by my side all night, or nursing like a champion.
I physically feel much better today but am looking forward to putting the operation and the pain behind me and concentrating on my daughter.
