I have a friend who is expecting in early June. As a group project we're already doing a blanket for her but I want to do something REALLY cool. Its a girl and in my stash I have 5 balls of a sage green Rowan Calmer and 5 balls of pink Lily Chin Gramercy. So either of those (not together though!) would be great for a baby gift I think. I need ideas! Could be a 1 ball or all of it.
I had started some pants in malabrigo but as an after thought knew she'd never be able to handwash (she's got two older kids) so I frogged them. I am open to doing anything- decorative/baby room, a sweater, hat, layette, blanket, etc. I'm just looking for ideas for something really nice and maybe unexpected. I think she assumes I'm going to do something since I had told her I frogged those pants already, but so doesn't expect anything.
FYI in Fargo in the summer is pretty hot and very humid (over 85 degrees and humidity is usually higher than the temp so it feels hotter). Most people assume its always cold/cooler here, but its much hotter here than places further south because of the humidity- but we do have a particularly long winter that comes early so I could make something in a bigger size that can be used this fall.
TIA!!!
