I have been searching and searching for good material to start on my diaper-sewing adventure, and just found out that Canadian Tire's auto department is having a sale on microfiber towels: a pack of 8 for $4.99! Yippee! So far, I'd only been able to find microfiber at Dollarama, in small 12"x 12" squares, at 1$ a piece.
Now...I've been told *not* to put microfiber near baby's skin. So if I sew a diaper with 4 layers of cotton (read: recycled t-shirts) for both inner and outer layers, how many layers of cotton should I sandwich the microfiber in between? I had initially thought I needed 4 layers for the "body" of the diaper and 8 layers for the hidden sew-in soaker (OR, should I just have a lay-in soaker for easier drying time???).
ARG! I'm confused. Can you tell I've been reading the Diaperdivas' board? So many options are available!

I make a 6-layer t-shirt soaker, though. 8 layers is OK, too, but takes quite a long time to dry.
