FO Wool diaper cover

Hi everyone I have been lurking here for awhile but haven't posted anything. There are many here with such talent!! Anyway I just finished my second attempt at a wool wrap style diaper cover for my niece. I think I may need to change the pattern a little and add some short rows in the back though, or just make the back a little bigger/wider overall. What do you think?

How sweet! So that's your own pattern then? Very impressive! Some short rows in the back, in my opinion, help the cover work for more types of diapers, not just the trimmer ones.

Thanks and yes the pattern is my own. I think I might add some short rows to the back though in the future, I don't have any babies to try it out on though so I will just have to wait till I see my niece to try it on her.

Those are adorable - and I love the design. What a lucky niece you have!

This is really cute. I love the gussets. How do you think the buttons will work, time wise I mean. I think you should definitely add short rows in the back, they make a huge difference in the fit for my soakers. Diapering my girls, I always end up with more bulk in the back and short rows are great for that. Really great pattern though, I'm sure it will be a hit!

I am not sure about the buttons time-wise. They don't seem too difficult to fasten to me but I haven't ever tried to change a wiggly baby so maybe they won't work... Hmm do you think I should sew on aplix instead?
