Need Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash/Soap Recommendation...For TRUELY Safe Products

After the finding about the cancer causing ingredient in Jason's, and other brands I looked into my shampoo and didn't like what I read. Same with my conditioner and body soap.
Anyone have any good SAFE favorites that are truely clean?
Looking for shampoo, conditioner, and some kind of body wash or soap.

Which Jason product did you find to have issues? I ask because I've found their products to be mostly free of pthalates and parabens, etc.

For shampoo I use the Giovanni Tea Tree and I use the conditioner as well. I was able to find giant bottles at Costco sometime last year and I've been happy with it.

I have some Alba body wash along with a Jason one.

It's from ingredients like myreth, oleth, PEG, any "eth". If you go to organicconusmers.org you can see the info on the first page. I would link you but I seem to be having major computer problems, and trying not to push my luck

Thanks I'll check it out. I usually run what I buy through the Skin Deep Website and try to buy products with as low of a risk number as I can.

Check out the products by Oyin Handmade. That's what I use. I use the Head-to-Toe Honey Wash, Honey Hemp Conditioner, Juices and Berries Leave-In spray, and Funk Butter deodorant. I love all of them!! As far as I could find out, you have to order online...they don't sell their products in stores because of the shelf-life. Due to the natural ingredients and lack of synthetic preservatives, most of their products are good for only 3-6 months in room air, longer in the fridge. The cost is reasonable, it's all handmade stuff. And everything smells so good I wish I could eat it! I'm serious! It smells like desserts or something, with all of the herbal/fruit infusions.

I think Aubrey is pretty good.

I like Avalon and JASON products. WELEDA also has some great products made with essential oils. For deodorant I use organic lavender oil mixed with alcohol and use it rarely.

I use JR Liggetts shampoo bar along with an apple cider vinegar rinse for my hair, crystal roll on for deodorant, Dr. Bronner's soap for my body.

Wondering what kind of hair you have and if you think it would work good for thin, straight, gets oily on top but dry on the bottom hair?
Thanks!!

I have had this same problem of not finding a truly safe shampoo and conditioner. Aubrey is alright for me, not spectacular. I am liking the looks of the Oyin Handmade. Thanks for link!! For my body I like Terressentials organic scent-free body wash and sometimes a Trillium Organics salt scrub. I really like the Earth Mama Angel Baby body and hair wash for the kids.

Chagrin Valley soaps. Hand made all natural soap and shampoo bars. They are amazing, afforadable and incredibly yummy. I highly recommend them.

Nurture my Body products are rated the lowest you can get on the skin deep reports (0-1) and they are awesome! The shampoo and conditioner are great.

I love Nature Clean shampoo and conditioner (I'm in Canada - not sure if it's available in the US) and it's the best I've found. I make my own soap for body wash, and run all of my other products by Skin Deep (cosmeticsdatabase.org) Good luck!

I love Burt's Bees. I find their products to be affordable - and I can order them online or run and get them at the grocery/drug store when I run out. Makes it more convenient for me. My whole family uses a good majority of their hair and skincare line.

They rate very well on the Skin Deep website. The only thing that gives them a higher mark in some cases is the synthetic vitamin E in some products - and the fragrance that they do not disclose (because they don't want anyone copying the formula). I wrote them to make sure that the fragrance was natural/organic - and they assured me that it was. The vitamin E really doesn't bother me for external use. I feel very confident using their products.
