Best, hands down baby/toddler patterns?

I used Kwik Sew's Sewing For Toddlers quite a bit. Also, Ottobre magazine has many adorable baby/toddler patterns in each issue.

Ditto the vote for Sewing for Toddlers. I used it (almost) exclusively up to size 4T. (I didn't start sewing for ds until he was a 2T.) The book was a great deal considering the number of patterns you get, imho.

Great for soft and warm winter pants! (You can do fleece on the inner and a cute cotton print on the outer, or cord on the outer and flannel on the inner, or two cottons for a lighter pant, or...)

I also really like those Sew Baby patterns. Very cute, great directions and easy for beginners. Our favorite here is the twirly dress. Great twirl factor!

ditto the Sewing for Baby and Sewing for Toddler books. I used them for my two oldest (now 18 and 17) and got the newer versions for the upcoming baby. (Not much had changed, but I didn't have the master patterns anymore.) In fact, I just sewed up my first sleeper in 17 years, and I'm having SO much fun!! I'm also going to get one of those Ottobre magazines, as I've heard great things about them!

You can't go wrong with the Kwik Sew books. And once they outgrow Sewing for Toddlers, they have Sewing for Children that has patterns up to size 12.

The only other patterns I really needed for my kids were Kwik Sew footie jammie patterns.

hmm...i am curious, i've never really work with store bought patterns, more like taking something from DD's dresser and trace it out. but i am intrigued with kwik sew, i am in canada, where can i get this kwik sew pattern? would wal mart have them?

You'll probably have to get the KS patterns online or at a dealership. Although in the US Hancocks sells them too.

I got my Kwik Sew books over the internet - not as many stores around here carry them as they used to. Is the twirly dress a pattern in one of the KS books? (I haven't looked at the dresses too closely yet!)

The twirly dress pattern is a SewBaby pattern. You can check online for them. They also sell them at Joann's Fabric.

I like burda patterns although they tend to run big (in my opinion). But I think they offer some of the simpler, more classic designs. I keep meaning to order Ottobre because I've seen it online and they have some really cute stuff!

This thread caught my eye because I've been sewing up a storm for my almost-two year old dd, and I've really been enjoying the Oliver & S patterns. SO CUTE! And easy to follow, which I appreciate
