floor pillow ideas

I want to make large floor pilows for my 1 and 2 y/o. I was thinking like 42" round. But I'm not sure what to stuff them with. I wanted to use beanbag filler, but it's pretty expensive. why does it seem so much cheaper to just buy a beanbag chair?
and ideas for filling? I want them to be lightweight, and not lumpy. should I just go with fiberfill?

You could make a beanbag chair cover! Then you could get the less expensive beanbag and personalize it to be whatever your kids want.

I found a couple 27" square pillows on clearance which my ds is pretty darn happy with. They are just fiberfill ones like you can buy at JoAnn's Fabrics for $10 or so. I sewed removable pillowcases so I could wash them. I'm sure my ds would enjoy a larger round one, though! I see things like dog beds at Marshall's he would like, as well.

We did the same thing. I'm sold on washable covers!

Shredded upholstery foam is what we used. A couple of places on ebay sells it for $1/lb or something like that. We have a rectangle which my DS jumps onto from a 1 1/2 foot high platform. He's ACTIVE!

oh, I love the idea(my guys are super active also)
but how do you figure out how many lbs you'll need? how big is a lb of foam?

I've often contemplated filling a beanbag/pillow with shredded paper... but haven't because of fire worries.
